Memorial Garden
Vision and Purpose
Remembering Our Past, Honoring Our Present, Inspiring Our Future.
On August 6th, 1889, 3rd Reformed Church of Kalamazoo was organized and began meeting in a small cattle shed. The Messages were delivered in the Dutch language.
In the nearly 136 years since then God has done amazing things through the men and women of what is now Centerpoint Church. As a means of remembering and honoring the thousands of men and women whose work we now stand upon, we are developing a Memorial Garden. Within it will be the steeple bell from the old church building, as it has been lovingly saved for such a time as this.
Located in the outdoor space between the chapel and the fireside rooms, it will be a reminder that we are not alone as we live out our call at this time. It will also serve as an inspiration to future generations to continue their legacy.
