Vision and Purpose

All of us are created in the image of God and gifted with a unique purpose. RISE seeks to empower individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities to activate their full potential by providing a healthy, welcoming, and collaborative community through a future residential village on the North end of Centerpoint’s 10th St. campus. These homes will provide a long-term housing solution for individuals who are often overlooked and are longing to be invited, welcomed, known, supported, cared for, needed, and loved. 

RISE Village will be more than a place to live—it’s a place to grow, belong, and thrive. Residents will build life and social skills, pursue employment opportunities, and engage meaningfully within the broader community. We believe this environment will cultivate the Christ-honoring leadership potential within each resident, empowering them to become co-laborers in the renewal of our city.

Latest Updates

 

November 2025 - RISE is steadily moving toward bringing RISE Village to life. Our Phase One fundraising campaign is underway, and we are grateful to already have $1.9M pledged toward our $3.5M goal. We are working with our architect on interior renderings that embody our vision for residents being known, valued, and supported. Zoning approvals continue to move forward as well.

 

Phase One will create two gender-specific homes and a respite cottage, each shaped to support both independence and healthy community for four residents. We remain encouraged by the promise of this land and anticipate what God will do in the season ahead.
